THE CEPHALOPODAE DANCE SUITE
The Cephalopodae Dance Suite (a ballet about the spiritual development of squids) is our latest project. We started working on it in late 2009 in collaboration with dancer Mina Omi and after testing out some fragments with her performed the complete suite on December 11 2009 with dancers Meryem Alaoui and Angela Blumberg as the squids, Kristin Mueller-Heaslip as the Priestess of Cthulhu, and Keith Denning appearing as “the Happy Fish”.
We’re fine-tuning this project now and plan on putting it on again in March. Also the possibility of making an anime-style video is a likely future projection of this piece.
